Meet the Argentine King of Gypsy Jazz
When he turned 11, Gonzalo Bergara received a guitar as a birthday present. At that moment, he fell in love with music and devoted his life to it. Today, the charismatic Argentinean drives a Toyota Camry through the streets of Los Angeles as the lead guitarist and composer in his own gypsy jazz quartet. The vibrant and swinging style of music, played entirely with string instruments, actually has its roots in early 20th century America. But Bergara, along with three other supremely talented musicians, is giving it his own Latin touch, and thereby lending a unique audible sensation to the American musical landscape.
