He pointed his small instrument towards the sky, and he discovered Jupiter’s moon system.
Nowadays technology has improved and with more amateur astronomers being equipped with larger instruments, along with the increasing amount of High-resolution survey data being released to the public online, amateurs are playing an important role in the scientific community.
