This Adorable Squirrel Monkey Is Losing Its Home

Meet Musetta, a common squirrel monkey at the Greater Vancouver Zoo. Native to the rainforests of the Amazon basin, these primates have distinct features making them, well, not so common after all. The color of their fur can range from olive green to yellow, and they communicate using up to 30 different vocal cords. With long, fluffy tails that keep them balanced, getting around the forest is no problem. Unfortunately, due to increasing deforestation, squirrel monkeys are quickly losing their homes, leaving the future of the species in flux.
